Notes on drawing MLP pony heads

Something I've meaning to do for a while, so I got off my butt and did it today as a warm up study. I also want to say before I go any further that these are some general rules for drawing ponies as they appear in my Equestria dreamscape. This is in no way an attempt to recreate Show Style characters although it probably could be adapted to it with some work. This part of what will be a growing series of instructional drawing aids . Not just for MLP ponies but for drawing in general.

    The main purpose of this exercise is to explain in visual terms what I am thinking about when I am drawing them. Normally I don't draw all these lines on the paper. Instead I visualize them in my mind and just imagine them being there on the paper. If you've watched my Picarto  streams you know that dispense with most if not all of these location lines, but for someone who is just learning they might be a useful aid. Just remember to draw the lines very lightly or do them on a separate layer in the computer so they are easily removed once they've served their purpose.
