Description

I could've sworn I'd post this already but I am not seeing. So l'll fix that! This is a Patreon reward I did for :iconrebelsqurl: back in late 2015. It is of his OC Diana who is a piece I posted earlier today. In, out of the elements

Now I love medieval history and in college I was a very avid archer who made a bit of money from shooting the bow. So yes I know back quivers were not common during the Middle Ages. In fact you can more or less thank one man, Howard Hill who did all the stunt shooting in Errol Flynn's Robin Hood for giving folks, especially Americans, the idea that longbowmen all ran around with back quivers. I've used a back quiver and they are usable quivers but you have to manage them carefully. Especially if you're crawling through brush.

I hope you like what you see. Please help make more art like this possible by supporting me at Patreon Patreon Icon

I personally don't like back quivers. The arrows tend to rattle around too much. I stuff them under my belt or hold them when shooting. Though holding arrows with a longbow is a bit of a pain with those heavy limbs. I'm glad to see some proper archery here.
