We'll get back to Luna and Zecora soon, but let's take a moment to look at Petina modeling some of Rarity's products in my Equestria dreamscape. This image is actually jumping ahead in my dreamscape but since it does not contain any spoilers about upcoming dream arcs, I thought it would be okay for folks to take a look at it. From the moment she arrived in Ponyville Petina and Rarity have hit it off well. They have collaborated/ conspired on several creative and business endeavors with varying degrees of success.

Recently Petina and Carousel have begun wearing some of Rarity's outfits when they go dancing at Bucking Mare. link link As a result Rarity has seen an uptick in sales and actually has a couple boutiques in Canterlot carrying saddle and bridle outfits. This has also allowing her to expand her sales of dresses and other accessories to locations as far away as Baltimare.

To be continued.

I was never a fan of bridles and saddles, but they look good on Petina.

Bridles... why're they so distracting?

Looking good, Petina!

Seems like Rarity might be gravitating into Jackie's usual role in this dreamscape.

I'm a little surprised Petina didn't get one with her cutie mark on it instead of hearts. But that would have been a little obvious.

Yeah, and besides the point was to move items that were all ready in Rarity's inventory. The fact that Petina and Carousel just happened to look awesome dancing in them was just an added perk!

I thought it was interesting that early in the development of the show the Carousel Boutique was supposed to sell bridles but people thought they were 'creepy.'

Yep, but the funny thing is that still show the mannequins wearing the bridles in the show along with the saddles. In fact this outfit is specifically based on one those outfits shown in several episodes.

Twilight lets Spike ride her, I think RD mentioned wearing horseshoes in Season 1, they pull wagons. I think they find nothing wrong with doing real-life horse things.

Yes but certain executives in the Hasbro were bothered, and since they owned the property their word was the law.

PE-TI-NA! PE-TI-NA! :w00t:

I gotta admit, her and Rarity do make for a great pair. Rarity's work and her go great together.

Yeah and I believe that given a chance Petina would love to expand that partnership.

I can see the saddles being a popular fashion accessory, but the bridles would be more like studded collars for humans - a matter of taste.

Also you'll find head ornaments that are loosely called bridles that are really more jewelry. Kind of cross between this and a curiosity. However there are still only worn for very formal occasions, not for everyday wear.
