Nightie Knight

Another color piece of Jessica Knight from my Angel and Knight dreamscape. This image was from a dream that occurred in the second dream arc or what I referred to as season two. For Angel and Knight dreams my subconscious has decided to provide opening and closing credits for the dreams.

These picture was a challenge since of course it had all happened in head so I had no immediate reference to work from I was able assemble various photos that roughly matched the lighting, objects and wardrobe in the picture. Then I to figure out how the colors would change under these condition and where the shadows and highlights would go. I particularly happy with how the semi-transparent effect of the brandy sniffer and sleeve of the robe went. Also how the desk is visible through the robe. Something you may find amusing. The painting behind her is an image of her boss that I'll be posting probably this week.

The piece is done in my usually colored pencil, marker, gouache, technical pen on vellum finish Bristol Board. Image size is roughly 12"x 16".
