Move to the Music! by Baron-Engel Move to the Music! by Baron-Engel
I will probably not get the next Equestria dreamscape posting up today, so I decided to start introducing my watchers to some of the characters that populate my sleep.

This is Move to the Music! They are an all female mouse band from my Angel and Knight Prime and A&K-2 dreamscapes. They may be in A&K-1 but if so they have not shown up on screen or been mentioned by anyone in those dreams.

The band released there first album in 2000. This is cover art for their debut album. Since mice are generally only about 8.25" tall it is almost impossible for them to play traditional musical instruments. Fortunately for their size most mice possess amazing lung capacity and have voices that generally much deeper than one might expect for such wee folk.

Just like bigums, a term mice and rats use to describe every other species, mice and rats have their own history and tradition of music. Until recently though their influence on the large music scene has been limited to songwriting and singing. Mouse and rat live performances have generally been limited to other wee folk or if performed for a larger bigum audience they have required bigums to play the larger instruments. Also until the mid point of the 20th century it has been very hard for bigums to easily enjoy mouse and rat performances live. Due to the radical differences in size between species.

What made Move to the Music! so amazing when they burst on to the scene was that they were the first all mouse act that combined and used for the first time the latest in electronic and computer technology to create their music. Along breakthroughs in video technology they have been able to reach out to a larger music market. I'll post more about how they actual make their music in future postings.

She has none. In my Andur and A&K dreamscapes individual scalp hair patterns fall into four categories. The hair is divided into two regions crown and mane. The hair regions are different from the body fur regions because in those regions where this hair the individual also has sweat glands.

In the Move to the Music performers we see three of the four possible combinations. Isabella, the white one, has no scalp hair but fur. Brandy, the grey one on the right, has crown only. Melody and Janet have both crown and mane.

FYI. Mane only appears to be the rarest of the four combinations. A few years ago one my friends did a basic breakdown of categories and posted his results on FA. Here is a link if your interested [link]

Well, this now answers the question I was grappling to understand earlier. So mice from where Petina is from are normally this small. I also ent back and looked through your gallery... I couldn't find what it was I thought I had seen to make me think Petina and Rosemary were the same height. So my apologies for the thickheadedness. I have no idea where I got my earlier preconception from. ^^;

But on a more related note, this actually sounds really interesting. Mice and rat's having a "difficult time" being a band would seem like an understatement. Especially if they're as popular as Move to the Music! sound to be. I'd hate to imagine run ins with the Paparazzi and wild fans.

I'm assuming you might be a "bigum" in this dreamscape. So I'm going to go out on a limb and ask: Does having a mouse as a roommate get awkward at times? Assuming things like this happen often? [link]

Actually I am both a 5'2" tall raccoon and a 8.5" mouse so I get from both ends of the spectrum.

Wow, that must be rough. Considering your subconscious likes to throw you curve balls. Go to sleep one time, you're a Raccoon. Go to sleep another time, and you can't even reach your doorknob.

Unless you have separate houses in each "persona", of course. Have you ever had a dream where the two people you are have met?

Actually it gets a bit more complicated since there twelve raccoon versions of me. Raccoon number one is always assigned to Smudge. Raccoon number two is on detail to Rosemary. The remain ten are generally invisible to the rest of the world. They act as the camera crew that provide me with outside of my body shots or images and sound for when my subconscious decides to let me see something without having me in the script.

I know of only one mouse version of me that I know, and I know of only one pony version of me. Although I am sometimes left with the impression there must camera crews assigned to them to.

Yes we have. In fact one night I decided to get a bunch of mes together to play poker. Bad idea.

I wonder, how often are you a mouse? Would your mouse-self be like "raccoon No. 3"? (without being one, of course)

Well since I spend a lot of time with Petina, both mouse and pony version, that would be a good comparison.

What? Does one of you cheat at cards? And you can't blame anyone without it sounding like a "Who's on first" skit. :XD:
Or is it worse then that?

Or they all can see his cards and he can see theirs, because he's all of them and all of them are him, and the sheer Baronception ruins it for everyone

No problem was that in that circumstance we kept jumping viewpoint and looking at each others cards. Sort of made it hard to bluff. Would that count as cheating?

Ah, good point. :hmm:

I guess it would count as cheating... But it would be cheating that benefits no one. Not even the cheater!

hmmm how does one diference a rat from a mouse in your dreamscapes?

Height and facial structure are the main differences. Most rats are at least 9+ inches tall while most mice are not over 8+ inches in height. Rats generally have longer faces than mice; also most rats have naked tails while mice generally have a fuzz of fur on theirs. In fact Petina is considered somewhat scandalous in some mice eyes because she shaves her tail bare so it looks like a rat.

If only the conscious world had gotten Move to the Music instead of Spice Girls. Life ain't fair.

Many countless loads of thanks for uploading this! :w00t: Love MTTM! Hope you get around to give us some insights on the girls' fifth album when it comes out, if it hasn't already.

If you are referring to the album "A little bit of magic" yes it has come out and the tour is over. In fact they are working on their sixth album "The bare essentials" even as we speak.

In that case, yeah, hope to see some insights on their sixth. Tell the girls a fan wishes them lots of luck =)

Are there also "animal" mice in the A&K dreamscapes?

Because she is cunning. That is part of how the band has been so successful.

I guess that makes sense. I suppose most men don't look farther than her chest size and tend to underestimate her. Bet they don't make that mistake twice.

Their success had been being able to control several facets of their act. Not just their songs but also the physical hardware and the software that they use for their performances. In fact now they have licensed the first generation of it for general sale.
