Hayride by Baron-Engel Hayride by Baron-Engel
Back slid health wise a bit over the last couple days. Was doing much better after feeling really lousy last weekend, but woke up Saturday morning with a really nasty sore throat and sinus pressure. So I'm behind getting things done. In the meantime have some skunk as a placeholder, and if the skunk is Rosemary then at least it is a very decorative placeholder!

Silly little detail I am very proud in this picture, I am very happy with the how the weather-stained wooden boards came out in this piece. It was the first I tried this technique with my colored pencil and I've stuck with it since. The picture is my usual mixture of colored pencil, marker, technical pen, and gouache on vellum finish Bristol Board. Image size is about 12"x 16".

Great picture, like the rearview mirrors being at slightly different angles and of course Rosemary is looking pretty awesome as usual.

Hope you get to feeling better soon Baron!

Well no one leaves the mirrors in same position because they won't be of much use to the driver.

Awesome work on the pick-up truck - so shiny and green. Love Rosemary's jumper, too.

Very awesome work as usual, Baron. Rosemary certainly does know how to add a touch of loveliness to a picture. ;)

Sorry to hear your still under the weather. Here's hoping you get better very soon.

What's worse is that I got better and then woke Saturday morning feeling miserable again. Feh!

I've been there once or twice. It's a perfectly good way to spoil one's day.

I always loved that style of that late 40's early 50's Chevy pickup. When I was in elementary school the school district had several of them in the motor pool, which dates me right there, those trucks and the Studebaker pickup my dad had were my introduction to what trucks were like.

I assume that if this happened in the appropriate dreamscape, you helped Rosemary pick the straw out of her bibs. (And how is she managing to keep the straps in place, anyway?)

Feel better, Baron. Please.

No I did not pick out the straw for this photo shoot, one of assistants did that. Same with the bib straps, the bikini wrangler took care of that for the shoot.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well Baron. I hope it isn't too serious. In any case, I have no complaints with you posting older works. If I'm not mistaken, many of them seem to show up larger here.

No, I don't think it is life-threatening just really frustrating. What makes it more aggravating is that I got a flu-shot and those usually keep me from getting the winter crud. Not this year apparently.
