Here is the second of the original color studies I did for the Move to the Music! band members. Isabella Sanchez, stage name Harmony, is the other founding member of group. Where Melody grew up in household immersed in music, Isabella's was heavily influenced by technology and science.
Growing in Spain her mother is an astronomer for the ESA and her father is an electrical engineer. Fortunately her parents were of the opinion that it is important to have a well rounded education, so when little was growing up in Madrid and began to express an interest in music and dance they were supportive of her. However music and dance were just hobbies for Isabella and when she went off to college she decided to follow her father path and also get a degree in electrical engineer. She soon decided she could have the best of both worlds and focused her studies on how degree could apply to the music and entertainment industry.
While studying abroad she met Melody who trying to figure out a way for mice to be able to perform music live without requiring the assistance of bigum musicians. The two began exploring the possible use motion sensor technology for this use. After much trial and error they were able to cobble together a basic proof of concept rig their senior year. The rig and software showed potential, and at Melody's recommendation they patented the hardware and software. This became an important detail when they started negotiating with the record labels.
The wand that Isabella is holding is a remote control device that allows her to monitor and control the software that runs the motion sensors and transmitters. For different songs these various pieces of hardware will be reconfigured to allow different types of music to be produced. Since she also studies martial arts Isabella uses the wand as part of her act while on stage. She can also communicate with the small army of technicians that work backstage during a performance to make certain everything goes off without a hitch.
