Carousel stretching by Baron-Engel Carousel stretching by Baron-Engel
These sketches are not connected to any specific scene in my Equestria dreamscape, instead they are just moments I have observed in our little cottage just outside of Ponyville.

Along with practicing with Petina and Rainbow Dash link Carousel has her own daily routine of stretching exercise. She does this to stay in shape for dancing at the Bucking Mare and to simply done to work out the stress of pulling a delivery cart during the day. Also she constantly experimenting to discover what she capable of doing in this quadruped form.

Now magical candy-colored ponies have much wider range flexibility than real ponies do but Carousel is particularly limber for a pony. In fact she's discovered that there is whole range of movements that she is incapable of doing in regular bipedal form. One those is the hand/ front hoof stand, she's not certain who she can incorporate into a new routine but she has ideas churning in her head. Of course her daily routines are pleasure to watch and while preparing dinner I have been witness to many a session since she does the sessions in the main room of the cottage because it has most space for her to practice.

Nope it is intended.

Very nice. That flexibility is amazing!

You do a great job keeping these ponies in form, even when they're in poses that should be theoretically impossible for their human world counterparts. It looks amazing! c:

And I'm going to third the request for a floor plan of your house. Actually, I'd venture one step further and even ask for a map of the layout of Ponyville in your Dreamscape, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. It would be neat to see those additional little details on how your dream world fits together for these narrative snippets! ^_^

Well I have seen people perform these poses before so they are not impossible just very, very difficult.

Well I'll probably being do the floor plan soon, but you'll have to wait for a full town map.

Oh, no, I meant impossible for human world ponies. I've seen people do all those poses before and I might have done one or two of them before, though some of them can definitely be challenging... Carousel is one flexible mare! xD

Woot! Glad to hear it! A floor plan of your house would be an awesome aid for the imagination! And though a town map would be nice as well, I understand it not being as much of a priority. Besides, actually making a town map would involve, well, you know... mapping the town. Takes time to do that, and Sky Brush has shenanigans to get involved in and clouds to clear or shape into giant cloud duckies when Dash isn't looking...

Actually, that's got me thinking now... Have you ever had a little fun with setting off thunderbolts near unsuspecting ponies to see their responses? =P

Ah, yes then you are correct.

I only recently began my Severe Weather Management Control training so I am not suppose to play around with stuff......but I have done a personal, unofficial, strictly on my own experimentation with airborne electrical discharges. I haven't really made any thunder but I have created small electrical discharges from a cloud. Um, the experiment was a success but it did leave me in hot water with Petina.

I can appreciate that. I'd probably do the same thing, myself. I just don't think I'd be able to resist the temptation to try out those pegasi powers of yours! It's like a new toy! You just got to try it! :D

lol! Why do I get the distinct feeling that Sky Brush found himself sleeping on the couch that night? Hopefully your 'experiment' didn't cause too much damage or set the roof of your cottage on fire or anything... Don't want any weather managers finding out that one of their employees was experimenting with a thundercloud without proper certifications, after all! Might land you and/or Dash in hot water with management over in Cloudsdale... :ohnoes:

Now I've just got to ask, what is it like to manipulate "Severe Weather" clouds and create electrical discharges? Is it like a static-y sensation? Does it hurt? Or is it entirely different altogether?

No, but I succeeded in zapping Petina in the butt with one shot. That's what got me into hot water with her.

How to describe it...well for one it is real adrenaline rush when you are doing it. Kind of like skydiving or rock climbing. You're doing something potential very dangerous but there is the exhilaration of successfully doing it and not scattering yourself over two counties. You definitely get a tingling electrical feeling while your doing. Primarily in the wings and hoofs but also in other parts of the body. In fact some ponies get stimulated in other parts of the body which they find very exciting and arousing. There is a nickname for them in weather service and it is not usually spoken outside the business. Storm Bangers.

lol! Bet that one smarted! Were you aiming at her butt on purpose, or was it an unfortunate coincidence that your cloudplay singed her flanks? xD

Sounds fun! I can see why you're willing to bend the safety protocols a tad to experiment with it! You haven't injured yourself playing pony-Thor, have you? I can only imagine getting zapped would feel about as good as sticking one's finger into the electrical socket...

Interesting... So how exactly did you come to hear about these "Storm Bangers"? Are there some in your weather detail that you encountered (oh gosh, that could be awkward)? Or was it just something you've heard through the grapevine?

I apologize if all my questions are bugging you, it's just that the world of your dreamscape really fascinates me, so I like hearing all the details of your adventures. Your dreaming subconscious seems like a pretty neat place! c:

No, no I was not aiming at her it just so happened that her bum was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is actually rather tricky to aim lightning but some ponies have the talent, I am not one of those at the moment.

Or worse, in theory you can shock yourself enough to render yourself unconscious. Not a good thing when you're at 9,000ft. There are even documented stories of pegasus literally vaporizing themselves because they violated some important step. Now pegasus ponies seem to be more resistant electrical damage just as they are better suited for dealing with cold, moisture and sudden changes in velocity and altitude.

RD was the one who told me about when I first joined the Weather Service and I was receiving what amounted to my orientation. As far as coming across some weather pony in the passion of the moment while storm working the answer is no. Although there is the rumor that Cloudchaser and possibly Thunderlane are closet Storm Bangers. Of course Petina finds the idea fascinating and wants to incorporate the concept into her third novel "The of the storm"

No problem. After of years of being called a freak I just find it amusing at how fascinating many people are with the concept of lucid dreaming and dreamscapes.
