Description
This was an amusing piece in that I did of my dear Rosemary several years ago. I sold it to a fellow who served three years in Iraq and fortunately came back in one piece. besides appreciating Rosemary he went to great lengths to tell me how I got the RPG-7 right and how they got shot at by them all the time.
The fun thing with doing this piece was the fact I had never seriously drawn a RPG-7. I had some okay photo reference and after doing some sketches I was able to figure out how to draw at the angle I needed for the picture.
The piece is my usual colored pencil, marker, gouache and technical pen on vellum finish Bristol Board. The image is about 12"x 16".

Funny thing is that from this angle that weapon could also pass for the Chinese Type 69 copy; the only major differences being replacing the rear pistol grip with a carry handle on top of the weapon and having the part that you rest on your shoulder being ribbed lengthwise.
