This is color pencil piece I did a few years ago of one my favorite aircraft. The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, which I believe is still in very limited use with some airforces around the world. Although it was retired from squadron use in the US about a decade. Happily I found a better file of this image and have replaced the original one.
when I was kid, when I think of military jet aircraft, the A4 was one of my favorites. Along with the F100,F86,F4,Mig21,and, the Mig15,these were some of the epitomes of the jet fighter plane.
Nah! McDonnell Douglas hasn't made A4 for at least twenty years. However there are several countries that have offered upgrades and improvements for them. So those countries that still operate them can still have very viable light attack aircraft.
